The Cooper Institute will host a screening of two short (30-40 minute) documentaries on migrant justice at the Charlottetown Library Auditorium on September 20 at 12:30 pm, in conjunction with the Migrant Rights Network's National Day of Action. My Friend Omar explores the abuses faced by a Guatemalan seasonal agricultural worker in Quebec, and Chaos & Control is a documentary produced by our friends at the Madhu Verma Migrant Justice Centre in Fredericton which dives into the lives of migrant workers in New Brunswick. There will be time allotted for short reflections on each film. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome.
