Residents of Charlottetown's North of Euston neighbourhood are invited to a free Community Block Party at Orlebar Park on September 19 from 4-6 pm. The rain date is September 22. There will be a barbecue, local music, art activities, and an opportunity to learn about emergency preparedness and to create a neighbourhood resilience map to help each other during future climate emergencies. Communities across Canada are getting together in similar ways to build ties in a time of shifting weather and increased emergencies. Resilience to rapid change is built from the ground up. This block party is made possible through the City of Charlottetown's Climate Action Microgrant Program. Check for updates on the North of Euston Facebook page in case of inclement weather.
